Music in general...

The whole point of this project, for me anyways, is to explore alot of different kinds of music. I had been writing alot of more 'thrash' type stuff. When you get into that zone of writing, you tend to over look things like structure, dynamic, etc. you are so focused on the riff, that you forget about the song. I kind of fell into this rut for a little while. I would write a riff, and then I'd be stuck. I tend to write in spurts too. Usually 15-20 songs before I really get into a rut. They aren't forced. They just come out, and then the inspiration retires for a while, but then it comes back around again. It usually takes one record to trigger that response again. Yesterday, it was the Cure's Greatest Hits. So, game on.
